Article Wedding Photography Wedding Videography:
Getting Started...

A wedding video captures those magical and spontaneous moments that cannot be captured by still photography. The video contains sounds and motion one will treasure a lifetime and therefore the videographer should be selected after careful evaluation.

1.  Selecting the Videographer

The best way to select the wedding videographer is by watching a complete video the videographer has produced for another wedding couple. Try to match the wedding venue and time of the sample video to yours, so that it is possible to get a clearer picture of what the real video would look like after final editing. Always remember to watch the full video from the beginning to the end. This will not only help with the selection process but will show what is expected from the bride and groom on their wedding day. If you like the videographer’s work and feel that his work matches your personality go ahead and discuss about pricing and availability.

2. Video Editing

A well edited video flows beautifully and smoothly from the start to finish, combining those special moments in best camera views and audio tracks at any given time. Natural events and emotions are well captured and highlighted carefully taking the viewer's attention towards a high quality video. A highlighting video uses the film time to show the most significant events, again flowing between each of the events seamlessly. People love quality productions, and want to watch them again and again.

3. Storage Media

The VHS tape is still requested by some couples, but most videographers prefer to present their work on VCDs or DVDs as at present. As the DVDs don’t tangle or break easily they are considered to be more durable. DVDs have long playback time too which is another reason why they are used widely today.

Many photographers provide the videographer service too and if the whole wedding package is taken you will be able to get both the services at relatively low prices. However, always watch a sample video to check whether the video quality is up to the standard expected.
