Your honeymoon is the first few great moments of a long journey that lies ahead. These new moments are sweet and memorable and are treasured forever by a wedded couple. Here are some tips which you can use to plan a honeymoon that will make memories of a lifetime.

Figure out how much you can spend to plan your first private get away. Your honeymoon could be on a fairytale dreamland or a cheap hotel but, remember that your wallet decides the maximum amount you can spend. Therefore first and foremost decide how much you want to spend for your honeymoon and then start checking out your destination options.

Discuss with your better half where he/she would like to spend her perfect vacation. There could be a dream destination in mind. Chose a place where you would both like to go. Decide whether it’s going to be the cool mountains or the sunny beaches, after all there are millions of options to choose from.

How much time do you want to spend as travel time? Do you want 4 days honeymoon with a 0.5 day travel time or a 7 days honeymoon with 3 days travel time? Remember, this is a time period in which you should be enjoying, therefore plan your travelling so that the time on the roads would be as less as possible.

Search, discuss, and again search until you find the right place you have in mind.

If you are going abroad, make sure to get your passports and air tickets ready way ahead of time. Also, book the hotels and reserve any other romantic events which are pre-planned in advance.

When you make reservations don’t forget to mention that you two are honeymooners. This could bring you special discounts, room upgrades and romantic dinner options.

7. Privacy

Chose a place where you can have a lot of privacy. The problem comes mainly for destination weddings where guests tend to hang around a little longer than expected. Just make sure to book a place where there will be plenty of privacy away from it all.

8. Take extra money

Always remember to take some extra money than you think you will need. Hotels are full of wonderful surprises and you may find interesting things to do for an extra cost. Why be disappointed on your carefree days if you can afford what are being offered.

9. Everyone loves surprises

Surprise your sweetheart with a wonderful romantic gift during the honeymoon. Your honeymoon is a time of many firsts. An array of nice gifts which suit the occasion would just make these firsts perfect than intended.

10. Leaving preparations

Pack your luggage with everything romantic and check and re check to make sure nothing is forgotten. Hand your luggage to someone trustworthy to keep them safe until the end of the reception. At the end of the reception off you go to a paradise of your own which lets you enter only once in a lifetime.
