Decide and reserve the florist for all your flower needs. Select structures according the wedding theme and colours.
Decide and reserve the photographer and the videographer
Decide and reserve the band/DJ/orchestra
If the wedding venue is not a hotel decide and book the caterers, tents and marquee providers etc.
6 months before
If you are planning to tailor make wedding bands, wedding necklace and other jewellery place the order at this point in time.
Check on wedding cake providers and make orders for the cake structures and cake pieces
Decide on wedding stationery providers and make orders for wedding cards, thank you cards, place holders etc.
Reserve traditional service providers such as ashtaka, jayamangala gatha and dancers
Decide and reserve the honeymoon location.
3 months before
Place orders for chocolates and sweets
Finalize the guest list
If you are buying off the shelf jewellery place the order now
Finalize bridal wear, going away wear, home coming attire and jewellery etc.
Place orders for the men’s attire – groom, best men and page boys
Finalize plans with the florist, entertainer, photographer and the videographer
Buy gifts for the family and the wedding team
Decide on table plans, table arrangements etc.
Reserve the marriage registrar
1 month before
Confirm and reconfirm everything with the wedding vendors
Start distributing the wedding invitations
Finalize and Collect wedding attire for the whole wedding team. Don’t forget the shoes, jewellery and other accessories needed
Collect the jewellery and keep them ready
Make the duty list for the wedding team and distribute the list to relevant people
1 day prior
Confirm and reconfirm everything including services for the homecoming.
Relax and don’t forget to have a goodnight’s sleep
